YEAR 12 STUDY SKILLS CAMP
Year 11 and 12 Study Skills Camp
The final secondary school years can be challenging at a personal and academic level. This is why the senior study camp was planned for our year 11 and 12 students. The purpose of the study skills camp was to begin their challenging journey positively with their teachers and peers. It was to also provide the students the opportunity to learn about how to best approach year 11 and 12, look at their different pathway options, and of course have recreational time to enjoy with their peers.
The theme of the camp was “Inspire, believe and achieve”. There were workshops to motivate, inspire and set goals that they would work on throughout the year. The aim of these workshops was to work towards developing a healthy self-concept with our senior students so that they believe that they can achieve what they would like to achieve and to aim high.
The camp was carefully planned so that students experienced a balance of learning as well as recreational and team building activities .These included:
- VCE/VET/VCAL information
- Study Skills
- Academic -English
- Student Voice
- Team Building
The students were very well behaved and enjoyed La Trobe’s beautiful surroundings.
We value what students have to say, so we finished the camp with a feedback survey on how we can further improve our study skills camp.
